Professional Development

As defined by Schoolcraft College, “Professional development consists of activities which lead to the acquisition and enhancement of skills and knowledge that benefit personal and professional competency or contribute to the growth if the discipline.”

The four components of professional development are listed below. If you click on the links, you will find specific work I have done in each of these areas. Also, a section titled “Briefly Noted” includes shorter reflections on service and development.

• Master and update content knowledge

• Update skills

• Employ skills in work settings/service learning

• Produce and disseminate research
