On c. 7 October 13 BC, Drusus Julius Caesar was born. He was the son to the emperor Tiberius and the grandson to the first emperor of rome, Augustus Caesar. Drusus was born with the name Nero Claudius Drusus, after his uncle Drusus the Elder. During his time as consul, he was praised for withholding the laws of treason and keeping people in line.

He had earned the ironic nickname Castor for himself from the fighting with Sejanus. In Rome Castor is known as the patron god to the praetorian guards. He is also known to have been friends with the gourmand Appicus which his father didn’t like.

Drusus gained much respect as a commander and a politician but Drusus was known to have a temper. There was a long running feud between him and a praetorian named Sejanus since he had once been in a relationship with Livilla. After the death of the others in the line to become Emperor he became quite violent with Sejanus and struck him during a drunken rage.
