2015-11-09bOn 9 November 2005, terrorists attacked Annam, the capital of Jordan. The suicide bombers caused chaos as the bombs took out three of Annam’s most popular hotels.

The first of the hotels to be attacked was the Grand Hyatt. The first reports of the attack took place at 9:50; in the hotel lobby. An estimate of around 20 people died in the first blast. Most of the deaths recorded were of Jordanians. Survivors cried out in the chaos; crying for the loss of their family and friends.

Shortly after the first bomb and just down the road from the Grand Hyatt, the Radisson was attacked in the reception hall that had been filled with a wedding party and their guests. There were reports of mangled bodies and the numbers of wounded being hauled out of the hotels was astonishing. The third bombing took place outside the Days Inn. The bombing took place outside the building because the explosives were in a vehicle that could not get past a protective barrier.
